The Seed magazine was started by Consolata Missionaries back in August 1988, when the first issue was published. The name of the magazine is based on The Parable of the Sower in the book of Luke 8:11 “The Seed is the word of God” The magazine has since then been one of the leading Catholic magazines in Kenya.
It's structure has never been changed which makes it very popular. It covers church and church-related matters locally, and internationally. Ten issues are produced every year two bi monthly issues the rest are monthly.
Besides, The Seed every year offers to its readers a colorful Calendar, featuring top quality photographs, daily bible readings, the saint of the day and church feasts. Occasionally the magazine publishes books. We at the seed are dedicated to help young professionals to attain their full course by offering to the industrial attachment.
